Celebrating 50 Years of God’s Amazing Grace
October 24–25, 2026
For fifty years, God’s grace has been at work through the people of Christ Episcopal Church.
Generations have worshiped here, served their neighbors here, raised children here, formed friendships here, celebrated joyful milestones here, and supported one another through difficult seasons. Some have been part of Christ Church for decades. Others have only recently found a church home here. Together, we are part of the story God continues to write in this place.
This October, we invite current and former parishioners, former clergy, friends, and all who have been part of the life of Christ Church to come home and celebrate with us.
Our 50th Anniversary Weekend will honor the people and faithfulness that brought us to this milestone while celebrating the vibrant parish Christ Church is today—a living expression of fifty years of God’s amazing grace.

Beginning at 4 p.m.
Saturday afternoon is our parish family reunion and picnic—a relaxed evening for reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, sharing stories, eating together, playing together, and simply enjoying being part of the Christ Church family.
Come for all or part of the evening. Bring the family, reconnect with someone you haven’t seen in years, and enjoy an informal celebration for every generation.
4 p.m. — Gathering & Activities
We’ll begin with fellowship and intergenerational activities around the church grounds. Expect plenty of time to visit along with traditional lawn and picnic games such as cornhole, giant Jenga, ring toss, ladder toss, bocce, and more.
At 4:30 p.m., former Rector, the Rev. Scott Holcomb will offer a blessing as we begin our meal together.
4:30 p.m. — Parish Barbecue & Potluck
The church will provide the barbecue, and we’ll gather around the tables for a parish potluck and plenty of conversation. This is a family meal. Pull up a chair, catch up with old friends, meet someone new, and enjoy the community that has grown here across fifty years.
5:30 p.m. — Anniversary Sing-Along
Then we’ll make some music together! Our anniversary sing-along is exactly that: a sing-along , not a performance. Everyone is invited to add their voice as we share familiar songs that bring us together in faith, fellowship, and joy.

At the heart of our anniversary weekend is what has always been at the heart of Christ Church: worship.
On Sunday morning, we will gather as one parish family—current members, former members, former clergy, friends, and guests—to give thanks to Almighty God for fifty years of ministry and to celebrate the Christ Church that God’s grace has formed.
We are delighted to welcome The Right Rev. Robert C. Wright to celebrate with us.
10:10 a.m. — Blessing of the Celebration Barn
We will begin with a brief liturgy led by Bishop Wright to bless the Barn. Former clergy are warmly invited to vest and participate (should arrive fully vested by 10:05 a.m.).
10:20 a.m. — Procession to the Church
Following the blessing, all who wish to participate are invited to join the procession from the Celebration Barn to the Nave.
10:30 a.m. — Holy Eucharist, Rite II

Following Worship — Anniversary Meal & Fellowship
The celebration continues after the service as we gather for an anniversary meal and fellowship.
Stay. Visit. Tell stories. Reconnect with people who were once part of your Sunday mornings. Meet the people who are part of Christ Church today.
Most of all, enjoy being together.
Fifty Years of Faith. Fifty Years of Community. Fifty Years of Grace.
Our anniversary is not simply about looking backward.
It is an opportunity to give thanks for those who planted, built, served, taught, sang, prayed, welcomed, gave, led, cooked, cared, worshiped, and loved through five decades of parish life.
It is a celebration of the community their faithfulness helped create.
And it is a chance to look with joy toward everything God will continue to do through Christ Church in the years ahead.
Whether Christ Church has been your church home for fifty years, five years, five months, or was once an important part of your life, we hope you will join us October 24–25.
Come celebrate old friendships and new ones.
Come share a meal.
Come sing.
Come worship.
Come give thanks with us for 50 Years of God’s Amazing Grace.
